The addition and ceiling are getting ready for wiring and insulation. See the new wiring to the top of the photo? A gorgeous new Craftmade ceiling fan will be going in to replace the two old "eyeball" lights that were originally in the living room.
We've decided to do a big whole-house insulation project at the same time we insulate this little addition - that's why you see all the old fiberglass insulation pulled out of our living room ceiling! Icynene Spray Foam is coming soon...

Happy Holidays!

Loretta you must be so excited! Your windows look fabulous and you're ging to love how warm and toasty you stay with the spray insulation. We had the spray insulation put in our carriage barn and it's tight and lets nothing in, so warm. Congratulations on your new window seating!
ReplyDeleteHave a very Happy New Year!

I am tickled! I'm waiting for a nice snowfall so I can watch from the windows. Our old city house had a side room off the living room with eight windows, and I loved how you felt like you were part of the outdoors when it snowed...
ReplyDeleteWow it is looking so beautiful. I know that you all will enjoy it so much.
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait to see the final result!! I bet it gets fantastic light!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, even with the surrounding construction.
ReplyDeleteI've always dreamed of having my very own window seat in my home.
Yours looks like it's bound to be a haven of happiness.
Lots of luck, wishing you a speedy process :)
I'm sure the finished window is beautiful, even if I haven't seen it yet. What color did you use for the walls around it? As for the lighting, you may try LED or fluorescent bulbs because these produce a brighter, fresher kind of light.
